RETURNS: If you receive a defective or incorrect
product, call 845-688-2216 to obtain a return
authorization—a return form and label that must
accompany the return. Returns made without a return
authorization will be refused by our receiving department.
Notification of returns due to an error on our part in
filling your order must be made within 7 days. Returns
must be made within 20 days. If you order an incorrect
catalog number or an item does not meet your needs, a
return approval will be at the discretion of management,
and may be subject to up to a 25% restocking charge.
Cost of return shipping is the responsibility of you, the
customer, unless Merrick Tackle is responsible for the
error, or if a newly-shipped item is determined to be
defective. DO NOT CHARGE FREIGHT TO OUR
SHIPPING ACCOUNT OR SEND RETURNS C.O.D.
If you refuse a package you ordered, you will be
responsible for the round trip freight. Call us if you wish
to cancel any backorders.
If a defective item is used, we must send it back the
manufacturer for repair or replacement. The manufacturer
has final say regarding repair or replacement. We group
returns and usually send out one bundle per month. You
may return items directly to the manufacturer for faster
service. Please contact the manufacturer first to obtain a
return authorization.
PAST DUE ACCOUNTS: Past-due accounts will be
subject to a service charge of 1.5% per month (18% per
year). Past-due accounts will be shipped on terms of
C.O.D. cash only, or charge card. Accounts that are
turned over to collection are liable for all collection fees.
BOUNCED CHECKS: Are subject to a 35.00 bank
charge and the forfeiture of the discount on that invoice.
The discount WILL be charged back to your account, in
addition to the bank charges. In the event of a second
bounced check, your account will automatically be placed
on a C.O.D CASH ONLY basis, in addition to a 25.00
bank charge. You will also be charged back any free
freight.
