This heavy-duty gaff is what commercial fishermen use. The
proven hook design makes gaffing safer, easier and more
accurate. Also used as a clubbing device it is constructed of solid
hardwood and has an easy to grip handle. The strong, stainless
steel hook is locked in place with a stainless steel sleeve.

TWO-PIECE TAG & RELEASE STICKS
The Aftco Tag and Release Stick features a special tag-tip head that allows either The Billfish
Foundation or the National Marine Fisheries Service tag tips to be used. Also featured is an integrated,
replaceable stainless steel line-cutter blade, designed for easily cutting monofilament leaders after a fish
has been tagged. The tagging poles (both 6 and 8-foot models) are specially designed two-piece E-glass
blanks, ferruled in the middle and custom-crafted to handle the stresses associated with tagging big
game fish and cutting heavy leaders. Handles are deep brown in color, complemented by black nylon
trim wraps with metallic blue-and-gold accents. Black seine cord wrappings with Turk’s Heads (finished
with epoxy for durability and tackiness) and a rubber butt cap completes each tag stick handle.
